    General Surgery

    Department of General Surgery is a pioneering department which is famous all over Malabar for the last 36 years. It had in its folds the best surgeons of any given period. The department was started by Dr. T.K.Jayarajan, who is the Managing Director of PVS Hospital and who himself is a very busy and experienced  surgeon. Stalwarts like Prof VJ Nair,  Prof Mohan Kumar and Prof  K.Y Roy had helped to achieve the proud reputation that the department now possesses. The department handles all emergency surgical cases as well as trauma. Recent development are also incorporated in practice like Laparoscopic hernia repair.
